Emma Raducanu reached the third round in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slams in the current campaign.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of her final two events this season as a result of a health issue she has been fighting over the past 10 days.

Raducanu, aged 22 was due to play in events in Asia but chose to travel back to recover ahead of launching plans for the 2026 season.

These plans will involve her coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have decided to continue collaborating in 2026.

She required blood pressure checks during her first-round match against Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and withdrew when behind 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at the Ningbo Open this week, where she was defeated in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.

Raducanu was also moving far from freely in the final set in the match with Zhu owing to back discomfort that has been a concern during parts of the season.

Such performances meant an encouraging season, in which the player advanced into the international top 30 for the first time since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.

She held three match points prior to falling to American player Jessica Pegula in round three in last month's Beijing event.

Raducanu won twenty-eight matches this year and reached the semi-finals in Washington, but her standout performance was at March's Miami Open.

As Britain's top player made the last eight of this WTA 1000 tournament, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro on the way before losing in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She worked with Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig taking over in time for the US Open.

The original arrangement with the former trainer of Nadal was for the remainder of the year but the partnership will continue, with a training block pencilled in late this year.

The athlete revealed that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

She came very close to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at the first competition with Roig in August's Cincinnati tournament.

Roig joined her in New York, where she advanced to round three prior to losing to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
