BF6 BR Mode Goes Live This Week as a Free-to-Play Game Mode
After a long period of speculation, the BR mode for Battlefield 6 is officially launching. Last week's speculation suggesting its release would coincide with Season 1 were accurate. Gamers can dive into the mode starting very soon.
Season 1 Adding a Fresh Location, Mode, and Weapons
Together with the BR addition, the first season is also starting. It introduces a new map, a additional style, and an expanded arsenal. On top of that, the Redacted Sector is being introduced. A featured teaser will be released at go-live, offering fans a glimpse of what's to come.
Complimentary Access Enables Redsec Accessible to Everyone
Possibly the biggest announcement is that Battlefield Redsec will be complimentary. Much like other titles, you won't require to own the base game to play. A number of players have already tried pre-release builds of the game type. Those trials were run in Battlefield Labs, which the developers described as their most ambitious player partnership project.
The intense thrill during encounters with another squad can't be found in any other last-man-standing mode. It's like a true survival situation, and you genuinely worry if you live or perish.
Despite being a skeptic earlier, I'm now a fan of the BR mode after playing it.
These initial impressions from players have been extremely encouraging. Certainly, the experience may have been adjusted over the last few weeks in terms of tuning and tempo. However, early signs are positive that this new mode could become a genuine rival to leading games. Many are expecting that the most effective firearms from the main game will carry over in the new mode.
